Solicitor - Emma Price

Emma Price

Emma joined mb LAW in January 2002, qualifying as a solicitor in January 2004.

Emma’s clients range from tour operators and their insurers, to travel agents and large consortia. Emma advises her clients on defendant personal injury claims, holiday related complaints and overseas recoveries against suppliers. In addition, Emma has extensive experience of handling and advising on a range of commercial litigation matters.

Emma’s personal injury and holiday related claims involve both overseas holidays and holidays taken in the UK. Her experience is wide ranging and includes handling small claims to fast track cases on issues such as quality of services, accidents/illnesses suffered whilst abroad and legal disputes on the interpretation of The Package Travel Regulations. Emma has particular expertise in handling large class actions, particularly those involving gastric illness claims. She has successfully defended a range of such claims and negotiated settlements when appropriate. Emma was part of the team that successfully defended the Booth and Others v Cosmosair Plc group action, recovering a significant proportion of the tour operators legal costs from the claimants.

Emma’s specialism means she is frequently involved in the investigation of claims overseas and has conducted several site visits to gather evidence for her clients. In addition to the defending of claims, Emma also handles recovery claims for tour operators against their overseas suppliers. Recent successes include recovery from a Greek hotelier for over £52,000.

Emma’s commercial experience includes advising and representing clients on the many aspects of commercial litigation, including injunctive relief and debt recovery. She is often involved in an array of commercial disputes arising from breaches and the interpretation of Agency and Supplier Agreements.
